This week, as we pause on September 11th, our thoughts are with the families, first responders, and communities who were forever changed by the events of 2001. We honor the lives lost, the bravery shown, and the enduring strength and unity of our nation. May we never forget.

Looking for high-quality residential units or commercial spaces across Southern, Central, and Western Maine? Explore our current live inventory:
In a market where inventory is still building, the best deals often happen behind the scenes. We maintain a Private Inventory of off-market properties—homes and investment opportunities that haven't hit the MLS yet.
September foliage is beautiful, but as trees begin dropping leaves, your drainage infrastructure faces its biggest test of the year.
The Tip: Before the heavy autumn rainstorms hit Maine, clean out all roof gutters and flush downspouts with a garden hose to verify water flows freely. Ensure all downspout extensions discharge water at least 4 to 6 feet away from the foundation.
The Win: Clogged gutters cause heavy rainwater to overflow directly down exterior siding and pool at your foundation walls, leading to basement flooding, rotten fascia boards, and thousands in unexpected foundation repairs before winter arrives.

Before modern alarm clocks and smartphones, the heartbeat of Lewiston was set by a massive 2,000-pound brass bell hanging high in the tower of the Bates Mill.
Canned and cast in the mid-19th century, the bell rang at precisely 6:00 AM every morning to wake thousands of textile workers across the city, then rang again at 6:00 PM to signal the end of the workday. Its chime was so loud and distinct that farmers as far as Poland and Greene used the Lewiston Mill Bell to set their own pocket watches!
