Dirigo Housing Investments LLC was established over a decade ago as an investment company to provide quality housing throughout Maine. The primary focus of DHI is workforce, market rate housing with the purchase of mobile home parks, apartment complexes, select small multi-family properties, and single family homes. With over 25 years of experience turning underperforming or value add assets into quality housing, DHI has a proven track record of improvements to real estate to provide our tenants with quality housing often at below market rental rates.

At the time of purchase, the property was severely under managed and in need of much renovations. DHI undertook this work and has been working since the purchase to reinvest into the project. To date, with over $500,000 reinvested back into this property, we continue to provide our residents with safe, clean housing with amenities that include plenty of onsite parking, large green spaces, security cameras on each floor and access point, private decks/patios per unit, coin op washers and dryers on each floor and more. Current rental rates are 15% below fair market value and holding steady.

This property was a tremendous opportunity for the leasing company and today is a stable opportunity for its residents.

241 Congress Ave in Bath is a 4 unit commercial retail center comprised of 4,780 SF purchased by DHI in 2012. While not a residential property, the opportunity to purchase this commercial property was presented under a sale-leaseback with the former owners.

KDF Holdings is a holding company for single family investment properties for DHI. It’s current holdings are offering its tenants a rental rate nearing 10-15% below fair market rates and quality housing opportunities in both Lewiston and Auburn, Maine.
